Anike Li’s Story
AL Accounting was founded in 2015 with a clear purpose: to provide the specialized accounting services that foreign investors, small business owners, and regulated entities in Metro Vancouver needed — but couldn’t easily find.
After years in larger accounting environments, Anike saw the same gap repeatedly: clients with complex, niche tax situations being passed between generalist staff who weren’t truly equipped for the work. Non-resident property investors getting incorrect advice about CRA withholding obligations. Small corporations receiving generic tax plans that left money on the table. Regulated entities filing trust reports that barely met the minimum standard.
AL Accounting was built as the alternative: a boutique firm where Anike personally handles every file. Where clients get the same expert every year, building genuine institutional knowledge of their situation. Where the answer to “can you handle this?” is usually yes — because the practice is built around exactly these situations.
